New Oregon defensive coordinator Don Pellum summed it up best after Wednesday’s final spring football practice.
“Let the games begin.”
“Through 14 practices I think we’re excited with the attention to detail the kids are showing on the field,…we like their energy and we like that some of the young guys have grown up and matured a little bit” explained Pellum when asked about the last four weeks of spring workouts.
“Are we where we need to be,…no way, there are some signs if we continue over the summer and when we come back in August we could be at a pretty good space and that’s our push right now to get the kids to take leadership and take it upon themselves to do the things we’ve been providing for them as coaches.”
The Ducks finished their final regular spring practice on Wednesday and now are preparing themselves for the annual spring game on Saturday May 3rd in Autzen Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 11:00 am PST.

NIKE / OREGON UNVEIL SPRING GAME UNIFORMS
For Saturday’s annual spring football game in Autzen Stadium, the Ducks will be wearing newly designed uniforms.
As they have for the last 5 seasons, Oregon football along with Nike have unveiled military styled uniforms to honor our nations troops.
Team Mariota / Grasu will be wearing yellow pants with white jerseys, while Team Ekpre-Olomu / Washington will be wearing the darker charcoal uniform.
At the end of Saturday’s spring game, the full compliment of both squads will meet at midfield with approximately 100 active duty soldiers and exchange their team jerseys for military challenge coins.
The kickoff is scheduled for 11:00 am. The game will be televised live by the Pac-12 Network.
