After a brief bye week, No. 2 Oregon went back to work Saturday afternoon inside of the Moshofsky Center to prepare for next Thursdays Pac-12 monster showdown with No. 5 Stanford.
The Ducks, wearing shorts, pads and helmets, began their normal practice week Saturday ( as their typical Monday ) and began installing all three phases of their game plan.
“We had our best Monday of the year” said Oregon head coach Mark Helfrich when he met the media after Saturday’s practice.
“Hopefully that’s evidence guys managed their schedules ok and took advantage of the extra rest ….and then with the extra hour tonight hopefully we’ll utilize that to the best of our ability and have another great day tomorrow.”
When asked to describe the teams ‘best’ Monday, Helfrich told reporters ‘it’s a combination of factors.’
“Our energy was really good,…our execution,…this is a day when you’re obviously installing a bunch of stuff that’s new,…any time you do that there’s a possibility of some lag,…” said Helfrich.
