The ‘Black Momba’ says he’s ready.
Oregon tailback De’Anthony Thomas, who hasn’t played a snap since September 28th, said Monday he’ll be in the lineup Saturday when the No. 12 UCLA Bruins come to Autzen Stadium to take on the No. 3 Ducks.
“I”m ready” said Thomas after Monday’s practice.
“I’m hungry,…I’m ready to get back on the field.”
Thomas sprained his right ankle on the opening kickoff of the California game on September 28th and hasn’t played since.
Thomas wore a walking boot for approximately two weeks after his injury and slowly returned to practice. In that time, Thomas said he wouldn’t return unless he felt he was 100% healthy.
“Just being able to go out there and run….and just having a smile on my face …and just going out there and competing” said Thomas when asked about his readiness to play.
