Oregon’s junior cornerback Terrance Mitchell hasn’t felt the thrill of the endzone since his redshirt season of 2010.
In fact, Mitchell seemed to let out a sigh of relief when asked about his first official touchdown as an Oregon Duck.
“Man, it felt good” said Mitchell after Saturday’s win over Washington State.
“I ain’t been in the zone since the spring game of 2010. It was definitely cool.”
At the 13:01 mark of the 4th quarter, Mitchell stepped in front of a Connor Halliday pass at the Oregon 49 yard line and weaved his way through heavy traffic eventually finding the endzone giving the Ducks a commanding 62-24 lead.
The pick six by Mitchell was his fourth interception of the season which ties him for sixth nationally in that category.
It was also Mitchell’s sixth interception of his Oregon career.
