After No. 2 Oregon ( 0-0 / 2-0 ) crushed Virginia 59-10 last Saturday, attention from the Duck coaches and players quickly focused on the Tennessee Volunteers of the Southeastern Conference.
Tennessee ( 0-0 / 2-0 ) will make their very first visit to Autzen Stadium this Saturday in a nationally televised game on ABC.
Oregon head coach Mark Helfrich held his weekly press briefing on Tuesday to discuss the Ducks match-up with the Volunteers.
Not straying to far from his ‘every game is the super bowl’ script, Helfrich lauded Tennessee’s size, speed and athletic ability but told reporters, while having an SEC school visit Autzen Stadium on Saturday, it’s still a game like any other game.
“I think it’s great for our fans” said Helfrich.
“For us, it’s another game on the schedule and we have to play it and we have to approach it that way. I think it’s great for the fans, for the media to work all of the theories,… if A played B, and B played C and C played D,…to E and Z and Q,..and at some point Fordham beats Alabama,…those are great to talk about,…for us we need to just approach it in our process.”
