It was tough evening for Oregon junior tailback De’Anthony Thomas.
Not only was Thomas injured on the very first play of Saturday’s 55-16 win over Cal, but he also had to endure one of the worst evenings of weather in his Duck career.
Thomas was injured on the opening kickoff Saturday when he planted his right foot to escape a Bear defender.
“I was just trying to make a move and it was just slippery out there trying to make a move and I slipped and I think I just rolled it.”
In his post game comments, Thomas said the ankle was sore, but he expected to receive treatment on Sunday and throughout the coming week in hopes of playing next Saturday in Boulder against Colorado.
