AVERY PATTERSON; Oregon Free Safety Discusses the Cal Bears

Oregon free safety Avery Patterson and his Duck defense headed to Berkeley in the bay area on Friday afternoon to take on the ( 3-7 / 2-5 ) California Bears in a Pac-12 match-up.

Two years ago in their last visit to Memorial Stadium, the Ducks narrowly squeaked out a 15-13 win to control their destiny to the national championship game.

Oregon head coach Chip Kelly emphasized to reporters and his team this week that game in Berkeley was two years ago and the personnel on both teams has changed and wouldn’t have any bearing on Saturday’s contest.

When asked about that game two years ago, Patterson did discuss the difficulty of playing the Bears on the road and what he expects to see from Cal’s offense.
